Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a form of therapy that allows clients to access, process and heal a variety of issues including:
-
Negative emotions
-
Trauma
-
Addictions
-
Creative Blocks
-
Chronic Stress
So, What is Brainspotting?
The idea is, "Where you look affects how you feel". Our eyes are directly connected to our mid-brain, which is where trauma, deep feelings, and memories are stored. During a Brainspotting session, I will use a pointer to help guide your gaze and eye position across your field of vision to find a "brain spot", which is an eye position that activates a traumatic memory or negative emotion. This eye position will target where the trauma is within your body, and allows access to the mid-brain so the trauma or negative emotions can be processed and healed.
